  • I just came from Philly last week 11/11/09-11/15/09!!!!!!!!

Well people coming from the midwest we always hear that East coast people in general are rude and nasty, from DC- Vermont. Let me tell you for one I worked in 3 different call centers in my life and the worst most difficult people to deal with always came from the east coast. I just recently got curious about the east coast so I did research on it I had heard the same bad things that have been posted. I visited last week and it blew my mind. Philadelphians were no were near as rude as I was e... Read More

  • Philly is the worst city in the US

I moved here two years ago and I can speak from experience - this survey was far too generous. The people are awful, the culture is nonexistent. I could go on and on and on, but bottom line is that this is a terrible city and I cannot wait to get the hell out of here. DO NOT MOVE HERE. Worst city in the US.

  • RANKINGS ARE A BAD JOKE

This entire list of rankings is preposterous and merely a vehicle to get suckers (like us) to visit the Travel site. They will post absurd headlines and try and get viewers and visits. It's all a marketing game. The rankings are so ridiculous that I do not even know where to begin. I live in Las Vegas and this city with world class entertainment 7 nights a week gets lower entertainment rankings than St. Louis. Dallas, which has perhaps the best farmers market in the United States is rank... Read More

Wow, what a horrible way to rate a city. Call us a lot of things, but to comment on our peoples beauty is ridiculous. Beauty is only skin deep. Our city has a lot of things going for it. HIstory, Urbanism, Music, Theater, Culture, Sports, Diversity....I could go on and on. Like most cities we have our blights and concerns. Our city is full of well educated, passionate people who love living here and are proud of our accomplishments. Do we have ignorant, racist, rude, and mean people? Y... Read More

We're ugly, we dress funny and we're racist but we will beat your *ss if you try to change anything about it!

Come on folks, it's true. It wasn't until I moved out of this city did I realize how rough and racist this city is. It's a bunch of working class folks fighting for little scraps since all the factories closed. There's no real industry here. But we have a lot of hospitals employing folks (because everyone is unhealthy and dying of obesity-related illnesses.) We also have a lot... Read More

  • Segregated

I’ve never lived in a city with so much segregation and racism, I lived in Texas and didn’t see this much racism. There are so many different cultures in this city but it’s wasted on the ignorant people who have been bred here. If you want to see a city with true culture visit Houston, people actually celebrate their culture throughout the city and don’t shoot each other just because! There isn’t a bar named “Caspers” where black people are told they can’t go into! Seriously, Philly could be ... Read More

My friend, I am from this fair city and I certainly have traveled to enough of the cities on this list to understand that in EVERY city there are bars and areas that people stay clear of. I would'nt go into many establishments in North Philadelphia either. And btw, I would be told to leave for my own safety. While your painted picture of a perfect world is so beautiful, It is NOT just Philadelphia with bars and establishments that you must be careful to enter. And one more thing. Do not pigeo... More

Thank you, I read the first criticism and thought that the person who wrote that does not own a television. EVERY city tears up the streets when their city, OR college wins. Our apologies that Philadelphia doen't have the sophistication of NYC or L.A. But we love it the way it is. LEAVE if you don't!!!!

Philadelphia is the birthplace of our nation. Many things change over a couple hundred years, but what hasn't changed is the dignity of this city. Made up of the most diverse group of people in th entire nation. We live together, work together and have always been united by our common love for this city. All cities have problems. Older cities like ours may have more then Atlanta or San Diego.
